All our hosting is based in the leading Redbus Meridian Gate datacentre in the London Docklands.

Service Level Agreement

We guarantee a 99.9% service uptime, excluding planned or emergency server maintenance or conditions beyond our reasonable control. All customers will be notified of planned maintenance at least 48 hours in advance.

Backup policy

We have a stringent backup policy to ensure that if you accidentally delete data, we should be able to help.

  • Fault-tolerant disks (RAID 1 in most cases)
  • Daily on-server backups and free restoration of these files
  • Weekly storage of backups to a separate server
  • Redundant DNS servers in separate locations for maximum reliability

All business+ packages also include daily off-server backup storage with algorithmic integirty checks.

Please note that we do not guarantee the reliability or presence of our backups and strongly advise all our clients to keep local backups of their data. Our backup methods must not replace your own backup responsibilities. If your website holds critical data, please contact us to discuss your needs.

Server locations and specifications

We use the latest stable equipment from leading vendors, including:

All our servers run the user-friendly cPanel/WHM control panel, with the Fantastico system which provides easy installation of over 30 popular scripts.

UK servers

Our typical UK servers are Dual processor, dual-core Intel Woodcrests with 2 - 4Gb RAM and multiple hard disks configured in hardware RAID1. This provides incredible performance, making them among the most powerful servers in our market.

These servers also feature PHP 4 and PHP 5 with MySQL 4.1 and the latest anti-spam, anti-virus and phishing filtering technologies.
